| Job / Employer Description: |
Currently, I am a law student at Drake University Law School. I'm pushing through my second year and hoping I'm on a downhill slope. I started law school straight out of undergrad and I'm anxious to start working (I think seven years of school is plenty). Though I truly enjoy the curriculum, I hope that working in the legal field is as interesting as my legal education has been. |
| Activities / Involvement in the Community: | I just recently joined YPC and I'm excited to be more involved. In the law school I am involved in Drake Law Women, the SBA Public Relations Committee and Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity. |
| Favorite Things to Do in Des Moines |
When I have free time (which isn't very often) I am the definition of cliche. I love hanging out with my friends, reading a book (besides my legal textbooks) in the sun, looking for undiscovered restaurants or bars, jogging in the parks, and watch really cheesy movies. I also really enjoy playing recreational league sports: softball, volleyball, etc. I am addicted to any and all "Broadway" shows - even in Des Moines! When I'm finally making my own money and have a little to spare, I'm sure I will go to the theatre much more frequently. |
| Something People Don't Know About Me: | I'm from a rediculously small town in South Dakota. I lived in Gregory for 18 years and when the time came to apply to colleges, I only applied to schools outside of S.D. Drake was my final choice for undergrad and I've been here ever since. I love Des Moines because it's just big enough to keep me busy, but not so big that it scares a small town girl away. Since leaving home, I've become obsessed with traveling. I have been very lucky to be able to live in Granada, Spain and Nantes France. I've also been to Paris and London (twice), Prague, Lisbon, Malaga, the Basque Country, Barcelona, Madrid, and many others. And most recently, I took my first trip to Mexico for Spring Break (Remember, I'm officially still in school....so it's still acceptable). |
