Wells Fargo is a great organization with a huge positive impact on the city of Des Moines.  Not only do they provide a wide variety of employment opportunities around the area, but they are actively involved in the community as well. Wells Fargo encourages employees to participate in the numerous volunteer opportunities they provide, and they help sponsor many significant events in Des Moines as well.

I am involved in YPC as an active member of the Social Committee and also, within that committee, I am currently serving as the Athletics Chair for YPC.  From my perspective, YPC Athletics is a way to expand into the community and spread awareness of the YPC organization as a whole and what it has to offer. 

More importantly though, the purpose of YPC Athletics is to HAVE FUN!! One of the advantages to being a member is that you are informed of numerous things taking place around Des Moines on a regular basis, and athletics are no exception to that.  It is my job to provide you guys with the opportunity to participate in various athletic events around Des Moines, and believe me, there is something for everyone. 

YPC Athletics gives members (and non-members) the ability to get to know one another in a more informal setting than many of the other events.  It is hard to get to know someone just by talking to them at a social or committee once a month; joining a team with the YPC Athletics gives you the opportunity to really interact with the other people and get to know them on a more personal level.

That being said, here are a few things I hope to see happen this year.  Some goals, if you will:

-Have at least 1 athletics team each month through YPC
-Host an event related to athletics every 4 months
-Host a charity event as an initiative through YPC Athletics

These are some of the things I would like to accomplish, and what I want to see take place.  If anyone has any suggestions for sports/events they would like to YPC involvement with, or any other ideas on ways to improve please email me and let me know -  Athletics@ypcdsm.com

Something not very many people know about me is that I played in the Senior League World Series when I was in high school.  It is essentially the Little League World Series, with teams from all over the U.S. and the world, just at a few years older.  Also, the field we played on was built with the help of donations from author Stephen King, and supposedly he watches the games from his house up in the hills. True story.

Finally, I really want to learn how to play the drums. So if anyone has any suggestions for me, or a way to help me out, please let me know!
