| Favorite Things to Do in Des Moines |
I, simply put, love Des Moines. I enjoy finding the best local restaurants, networking events, entertainment, music, and volunteer opportunities that Des Moines has to offer! I'm constantly trying new things, meeting new people and learning about how easy it is to keep engaged with the local art, theatre, culture, and music scenes in Des Moines. I've been a member of YPC since the spring of this year and gradually I've gotten more involved with the organization. Currently, I'm a proud member of the Marketing Committee, which has really opened me up to a great group of young professionals in the Des Moines area that I would otherwise not know. As a member of YPC, I've had a lot of great social, educational and networking opportunities where I've met new people in the Des Moines area while becoming more active in the community. So far, my experiences with YPC have given me the opportunity to use my time and talents to give back. I decided to become a member of YPC because I believe in the organization's mission to "promote an environment that attracts and retains young professionals in Greater Des Moines." Des Moines has a lot to offer - why not flaunt it, meet new young professionals and have fun while doing so? |
| Something People Don't Know About Me: |
I collect 80's prom dress, all things Coca-Cola, and local artists' paintings and jewelry from each country that I visit. Oh, and I recently started a blog called, "The Dish on Des Moines," which you should probably check out! Visit: www.TheDishOnDesMoines.com. |
| Anything Else You Want People to Know |
YPC is only as good as its members. In order to get the best experience with YPC and its programs, make sure that you become an active part of the young professional community in the Des Moines area!
