Approximately 50 YPC members and their guests were invited to the pre-opening show at the Des Moines Social Club (1408 Locust Street). YPC At-Large member Shawn Harrington, Jenni Pullen, and Andrew Walters were interviewed for this piece. Zachary Mannheimer, Executive Director of the Des Moines Social Club, is also a member of YPC.

About the show: In 1919, Karel Capek penned this classic play, R.U.R. (Reason’s Universal Robots), inventing not only the word, but the concept: ROBOT. In 1919, Kruidenier Cadillac built the first Cadillac Dealership in Iowa at 1408 Locust Street. This March, The Subjective Theatre Company breathes new life into 1408 Locust Street with our Inaugural Production at the grand opening of THE DES MOINES SOCIAL CLUB. The show runs Wednesday-Saturday from March 6th through March 15th, with shows at 7 pm. Sunday's show is at 2 pm. There is a limit of 50 seats per show so reservations are highly recommended.
